not really sure I will need this with the level of photography I am at, but messed around with PSE9 to make a logo ....then made it into a "brush" so I can just stamp it onto a photo I feel needs such a thing. With so many folks adept at removing or cloning out watermarks ( if they are so inclined) ....is it more of an advertising sort of thing, than a real theft prevention item?
Don
,....yup, that is pretty much what I did. I just used 6 layers ( in PSE9) so that I could rotate the individual letters/words in different ways. I saved it as a.psd file so I can alter again later ( maybe)....but making it a custom brush kind of allows it to be used as a small "logo".....or enlarged and used as a watermark ( with low opacity) . Like I said....I can't see where I will use it since I am just a casual photographer, but it was one of those things I wondered about. Now I know... ha ha ....
EDIT: ....another thing I realized was that since I only want to (possibly) watermark a few shots here and there, I will add a "c" to the file name of the "marked" photo so I know it is amended, and it won't affect the original file. I wonder if that's the normal convention....?
Nice photo, but why are you so worried about theft?
