I suppose I asked for that, "Any critique go ahead I can take it."

Uninspiring agreed. Not enough color contrasts? I go for the roots or stumps - texture or shape and colors.

Helpful "Not enough color contrasts?". TheTruth can you elaborate please on how I could have improved / added more color contrast?

I've taken a few of driftwood as well and the subject matter certainly needs help. Just on sand the colors are the same.
Many of my driftwood (that I keep) are stumps with a grassy green back drop.
Different light so you get shadows maybe.
Sometimes I crop out a lot of the junk - take just a small piece as the 'picture'.
If we think about this more - composition is probably the hardest element with driftwood.
Not sure this was much help?

Someone must have been motivated by your pictures of driftwood because I was at the shore of Lake Superior yesterday and saw a person with a Nikon shooting drift wood. I took a couple pictures too but am too new to the task.

Been curling a long time? I got back at it 2 years ago after a 15 year break.

Hi Truth,
I was on the Bud Somerville team that won the World Curling Championship for the USA in 1965 in Perth, Scotland. I'm only curlling in some fund raising Bonspiels now as I go to Florida for most of the winter. Where are you curling?
Local club curling only at the moment.
You are above my caliber by far.
