The only thing that should be added to that is the paper should be sued for every act committed against those gunowners. Already one owner has had their home targeted, nothing stolen but their guns. Is the paper going to accept their responsibility for that?I doubt it. Hope the paper's owners fire a bunch of irresponsible, thoughless people.

This is really unbelievable! Assuming the Journal News has more than one employee, one of them surely would have said "This is a bad idea". But, apparently not!

Hi all. I own hunting rifles and go moose hunting every fall in Northern Ontario. My views on gun control are mixed. So, I'm watching the gun debate with interest from the sidelines in Canada. Judge Pirro has a point in her Youtube video and I believe singling out individuals was absolutely _wrong_.
However, I believe the latest NRA's add mentioning President Obama's 2 two daughters is sinking even lower. NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said the ad is not about the Obama girls. Anyone can see that if you take the girls out of the ad...you have no ad.
Sometimes it's smart to sit back and let you opponent sink themselves in their own mistakes instead of jumping into the ring with bigger ones.
So what happens?
Obama announced a plan for combating gun violence Wednesday, appearing with four children who had written to him asking him to stop gun violence.
I'd say to both sides......Just stop it!

I bieleve we should do something, but that something should be making it imposible for people with mental problems to get weapons, I just don't know how to do it.

You're absolutely right, Ed. Both sides are lurking on the dark side.
These are our elected officials, theoretically the "best of the best"...? I think it's time we (not you, Ed, but us) take a long, serious look at these individuals and ask ourselves "how good are they, really?" I'm thinking they are NOT the best of the best. They are NOT as intelligent as we pretend they are. They do NOT live to a higher moral standard than anyone they represent.
We need to start seeing these people as the snarky little children they are acting like, and stop bowing to them every time they blow their snotty nose!
