CANON EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Zoom lens (not IS) SOLD

Bought a T3i kit with 2 lens. The 75-300 zoom was advertised to be IS, but was not. Through phone calls and discussions with the seller, I ended up with (2) 75-300 zoom lens and neither one was IS. They told me just to keep the extra lens or return the whole thing for my money back. Who am I to argue a little point like that. Would like to sell one of them to see if I can work my way up to a decent zoom (with IS) that would not break the bank. The list price on this lens from Canon is $199.99 + S&H. I will sell this one for $150 + $20 shipping. It has NOT been on the camera, I just opened the box to see if it truly was the wrong one again. It is in the same Canon box it came in with Styrofoam at both ends for protection. If you are interested please call me: 318-464-2973. I am not set up with pay-pal or any other banking arrangement, so it would have to be by check, or money order, unless you feel like sowing your wild oats and want to stuff the cash into an envelope, and mail it to me. I WILL NOT GUARANTY THAT!

The Canon 75-300 has never come in an IS version.
The 70-300 is IS.

Thanks I also found that out. I did not find any new 70-300 lens for less than $159 + S&H, so I am thinking I will price this one at $150 and I will pay shipping. Any takers?

is this a good second lens to go along with the kit 18-55mm?
I'd be using it with a 1000d

I received this lens as part of a deal when I bought my T3i from the QVC shopping show. It was advertised as an "IS" lens, but was not. They do not make this lens in an "IS" version. Both the 18-55mm and this 75-300mm are really bottom of the line lenses, but for something to get started with, I will live with that for a while . This lens has now been SOLD, and I am in the hunt to see what I can find for the next step up in a tele zoom lens.

Now I know why the 75-300 goes all day for about $100 on ebay :-)

I would buy one for $90. I have taken some good photos with it, and would think it works well on the tripod.
