If money was no object and you could buy me a nice Camera-what would it be? Why? I just sold my 5D Mark II. Love the Full Frame but will not go back to Canon.
Easy - a D800.
EDIT- I just read some of your other posts.
I am not so sure my advice regarding the D800 is the right advice now.
If I was you I would rent before buying to see if you have the same problems with any new prospective purchase.

Why not? I'm a Nikon user-- but just wondering...

What was wrong with Canon?

Nothing!
What'd you think my husband would say if I started buying things for strangers?
All kidding aside, that's kind of an open-ended question, isn't it?
What would you like to do with it?
How much do you know about photography?
are just two of the questions that come to mind.
Without knowing a bit more than that you want a nice camera, it's impossible to give you advice.

LOL! I used to shoot Weddings when I was younger and still have my Olympus Film Cameras and my M6451000S system. Digital full frame is a whole new beast. Been reading many Photo Mags for over a year in order to begin to understand how they function. Seems I could only randomly get sharp shots from my 5D M 2. I know its AF system is not the Best! I just want to be able to shoot sharp Photos.
Almost impossible to get sharp hand held shots. That is the basic issue. Even with the 24-105 Lens. Recently bought a Tamron 28-300-newest model. Not Bad! Attached is a picture with it. 2AM after our first snowfall. Handheld and through my window. -20 outside.
Handheld ..... through the window ...... 2:00 AM ......
Nah.... I have no idea why your camera couldn't take sharp hand held shots. Must have got a dud!

The highest rated DSLR body out there, the D800E. If you can't take sharp pics with it, you have the wrong hobby.
Thank you. It seems this Camera is coming up more often. Is it my eyes or is the 2AM shot just not crisp? i really want to get to this level of quality. Shot of one of my friends boy. Nikon D300S.

My eyes see the 2AM shot as being soft as well.
Can't quite tell if it is movement or out of focus, looks like slightly out of focus on the box thingy at the bottom of the tree.
But how much light was there?
Handheld - low light, difficult focusing conditions, high iso, slow shutter speed, through a piece of 3mm household glass probably on an angle.
Maybe you are expecting too much or pixel peeping too far.
If you blow anything up far enough it will be soft.
