Received a new camera for Christmas and has never played with manual settings before so this is my first attempt.
These were taken with my Sony A57. I used my 75-300mm zoom lens. Set the ISO to 3200 and F4.5. The day was bright but overcast.
I know these aren't the best of quality but not too bad for first time using manual settings. I was always used to the point and shoot cameras.
Looking for any type of feedback, and any type of suggestions to make the photos better.
I do not know too much about the camera settings yet but I do know I have an awful lot to learn.

1 and 3 are pretty darn good. Looks like the snow got you in the second one. You exposed for the bird and it blew out the rest. But that is a hard shot with the big difference in the lighting.

Thanks for looking. This is still a whole new learning process for me, and I hope to get a lot better.
All 3 are very nice!
2nd one is NOT blown out on the snow. Looks like DOF has blurred it, and it is white instead of blue or grey, and the goose looks properly exposed...... VERY nicely done!!
Thanks for the input and checking out my photos. Hopefully will get out again this weekend and take more.
