I find the best reliable pricing at B&H or Adorama. This is a pricey lens but in my opinion it is well worth it. It is my current favorite zoom. If you don't mind 2nd hand or refurbished, you may be able to get a deal there. Some people buy it on impulse & decide later that between the extra weight & price that a 70-400 4 is would do as they are not using f/2.8 very much. Bab

Marlon, canon does not have that lens currently in their refurbish list. But a few months ago they were listed for $1999. Call them and ask to be put on a call list when they get them in. They did that for me with a body one time.
Seems they cleaned out the closet. The 70-200 mk ll used to be on there.
