First time trying fabric

Over the xmas holiday I decided to make a little "me" time and dragged out some material I had stored away. Realizing I didn't have enough black, (which I really wanted to use as the background) I tried the green, which worked out ok. Next shopping spree I'm going to invest in some nice fabric and try this again. The dogs were really good sports about it. I noticed after we were done, I should have straightened the fabric out better, but for our first time, it wasn't too bad.

I have both blue and green 10x25. After you open the package it really is creased. I have a portable hand steamer and it does the trick, but be careful how you store the cloth after

Thanks so much everyone:) They really are very patient with me, although Karma, my blue girl, has to be coaxed with numerous treats.

Bogeyeliot, Caiden-my big guy is, well, he's just really BIG and then Karma, my blue Merle, is all Aussie, just very petite. A lot of people ask me is she's a mini, but I also had a mini (Callie) that we lost last month. She was smaller than Karma, but not by much. Here's a picture of them together this past fall.

Thank you all again for the kind words.

Can I suggest that you go to your local fabric store and get a long roll that decorator fabric comes on or you can use PVC pipe. this will save the time steaming the creases.

Agreed with the PCV pipe however storage could be a problem. Where do you hang a 10' pipe? Normally after one initial steaming then careful folding, if you can't let it stay on the background stand, the creases will fall out when you rehang the material.

I sort of had the same thought about the roll or pvc pipe to store the cloth on. I wonder if you could roll it, clip the ends and then store it standing in a corner. I would think that would be one way to keep it from getting creases. Thanks again for all the nice comments and suggestions.
