Hi, looking for comments on different ways of shooting subject, with a camera not a gun  im really a beginner, very little experience in camera work, before anyone asks. The subject is a 15" glass gypsy dancer lit with soft light and small torch. There are 3 pics attached, thanks everyone   :|

Very nice series! #2 also captures my attention.
#3 is very good as far as the subject goes, it is the background and its lighting that is the most distracting.

Thanks I would agree with you, the background does distract you. Thanks for your comments, this is the only way to learn, listen to others.

#1 Like camera angle although a little more light on the face would have been awesome
#2 love it....camera angle, background and light works well together
#3 background & lit statue look like they are 2 separate photos layered prefer the blacked out

Brilliant start for a beginner.

Very nice, pip, #2 is the one for me, super job all around, #3 could be very good also except for the backround. Well done

Thanks for your comments, I will probably have another try with your suggestions, Im enjoying the feedback mostly positive, I will listen to any suggestions and try new idea's. Oddly enough #3 was my first photo taken, I took about 10 which were softer focused which I discarded.
:-D Cheers
