Where in the heck is this bird from? I love birds and I've never even heard of this kind of bird. It looks like a multi cross breed. Nice shot!
They seem to be settling in here in North Florida real well...see more and more of them...love when the tourists say look at the flamingo !
As the mating season gets here, their colors will brighten up a whole bunch. Your photo is very good.
we have these down at our coast also..I call 'em wanna be flamingo's, nice shot .thanks for sharing
Here are a few of my photogaphs for review
Dennis I really like that last shot, the first two seem a bit out of focus.
The background blurr is intentional
Good composition Dennis but the subjects do seem to be out of focus.
You have an eye for it for sure!
Number 3 in your first set is good - love the composition and colors. 1 is out of focus and there is a ton of noise. Maybe copped to tight or high ISO? 3 focus again not sharp. Love the birds though.
Penny,
these are all over the bayous and swamps of louisiana. If you look at some of the classic John Audubon illustrations from his time in Louisiana, you'll find Roseate Spoonbills. An ancient bird that's adapted and thrives today. Rocco
