CB, think you need to be more clear of what you are asking the group. Just my thought. CJ

Thanks CJ... on my Nikon (and I assumed all of them) I have a setting called "color space" and within that is and option to go either, sRGB or Adobe RGB. Any opinions on that or experiences using this setting one way or the other?

sRGB has a smaller color space than adobe RGB, meaning that colors in sRGB get clipped due to color space limitation.

This is not noticeable on screen or web, but would be after PP in photoshop.

Please don't shout by using all caps!! It is ok for emphasis on a word or two, but not the whole statement. Thank you.

There are quite a few posts here on this subject...try searching "RGB vs sRGB"...you'll find some very lengthy discussions.

Adobe RGB is better for printing and with high res. images in general. sRGB should be used for Email and projection.
I would set the camera for AdobeRGB and keep it that way: then for Email or projn., make a copy and change that to sRGB via
Edit > Convert to Profile.

RGB. However, if you only post to the internet and don't have a monitor that will show that color space you won't see the difference.

You will see the difference when printing as GHK has mentioned.

I prefer Adobe RGB. Since I am never sure if I am going to print an image or not, I use the philosophy of better to have and not need it than need it and not have it.

If you aren't going to ever print then sRGB will work for you. The Adobe does a bit better for color when printing.

I use adorama to print my photos and they use RGB color scale for the printer they have. I use to read all the stuff about which was better, blah, blah, blah. Now I just choose according to my printers specs because I have to convert otherwise.
