Hi there! :D
I'm new to the forum, but not new to photography. I've been shooting off & on since I was a young lad in rural North Carolina. I have used everything from a 110mm, to a 126, to a 35mm to several dSLR's. Currently, I own a Canon 60D and a Canon 350D, but am not diehard fan of any brand (had a Nikon E5700 before the current Canon's).

I shoot macro, models, fireworks, nature and everything else in the world. At this moment, I'm focused mostly on photo shoots with models and macro work.

My experience is 90% outdoors, so I'm just learning studio photography and lighting -- over the past several months.

Until next month at least, I'm president of the local photography club -- a group that host model shoots, field trips and several presentations each year.

If I could sum it up in one sentence, photography is my passion. If I could do one thing -- and only one thing -- the rest of my life, I would shoot photos.

THANKS for reading this introduction... and HELLO to all! ;-)

Sarge69,
Where should I post some photos for the group to see? I have over 5,000 on Flickr -- but wouldn't mind posting to a specific topic here if anyone would like to see some of my work. I'll post a few here for starters...

Wow, great photos.

Well, click on home and pick an area to post your photo. There are some specific forums and also forum for getting critiqued on your photo if you like.

Easy bunch here but watch out in macro for Nikonian cuz he's picky.

Hello Charlie...welcome to the Ugly Hedgehog. I noticed one of your model shoots took place at Clark Park/ Cape Fear River Trail. I always enjoy my outings there and photographing the Prothonotary Warbler. I hope you enjoy the forum and the diverse group of photographers that belong and contribute to making it a great forum to join. BTW...I really enjoyed your photos!

Nice to meet another NC photog. Do you know Earl from around your area? He seems to lead some of the MeetUp events and other things around your area.

BTW, the last shot in the 3 I posted is Ashley, a local model. We shot that at Clark Park, near the covered bridge. Hopefully, I'll see you at some of the Fayetteville photo events. THANKS for the warm welcome. I just heard of this forum for the first time today. I hope to become a regular contributor to the group.

Thanks AuntieM! I sincerely appreciate the compliment. I'm almost 50 yrs old, but still say, "When I grow up, I wanna be a photographer." Maybe when I retire, I can take it past the semi-pro level and shoot as a "real" professional. Right now, I take select jobs- and have a couple regular paying gigs.

I love it! Nothing better than having a camera in my hands.
