old long lenses

I have a couple of old long lenses, one is a Prospec, the other is
a Tokina. Obviously not top of the line, but work well with one exception; when you tip them down. gravity takes over, the lens extends itself. There is probably not a fix,but thought I would ask Artmeister

This is a commercial fix but many just find a rubber band that is the right size

Over the years, I've used an elastic band and a thick rubber band. Both worked equally well to prevent "lens creep". Although I don't want to take any money out of someone's pocket, there's no real need to buy a specialized band. Best wishes with your lenses.

The lensband is cheap, doesn't break, and holds exceptionally well. I find rubber bands loose their elasticity and are more stretchable
