Did another competitive cheer competition and used a 24-70mmF2.8 set on AV setting with a constant f2.8 and iso at 6400. Gym lighting was poor especially in the warm up area and the fluctuation from area to area was fun to work with especially since you can't wander around during the routines. I sat next to the judges table on the floor and got the following pictures. Still learning on how to take the pictures in this setting. Crowd is hostile towards anyone around the mat blocking their view and the possibility of distracting a cheerleader during a routine!
Your the photographer, when I'm at hockey games I'm in the front row up against the glass,in the center asile with no problem and get ask if working for a magazine, and I say yes and they leave me alone, just a word of thought if the don't like it TS.
Well done except the 1st photo has the girls blending into the background.

I was wearing media credentials and it did not matter to the parents. they were the most hostile crowd I have ever seen at any sporting event. The kids were awesome!
You ever been a Hockey parent ? Brutal

Hockey Moms are bad, but cheerleader moms and dads are worse. I worked security in a ice arena and it was bad but this was worse!
different comp with 24-70mmf2.8 lens
