After reading some of the posts from our friends across the sea I was beginning to think their land was one of peace and tranquility.

My question is, shouldn't they ban those steel rods? They look pretty dangerous, the bobbie may have hurt one of those thugs. :|

Nothing like the US, these cops have got guts, no one got shot, including any innocent by standers, every one got arrested and senteced. In the US they would have all got shot and probably the police too as everyone carries a gun and the drunks would no doubt have shot the police!!

Can't you guys see the differenc? Noone got shot and two brave,unarmed policemen did their duty even though they suffered cuts and bruises.I'm just surpried they were not issued with tazers but if they were and they were used there would have been a full inquiry.
