I was set up on an immature bald eagle in a field today when I caught a glimpse of something in the sky. I looked up just in time to see a Golden eagle flying my way. I swung my lens around and grabbed these 3 consecutive shots before it flew off into the trees. These are untouched originals right out of the camera. I was shooting RAW + JPG Basic at the time, these are the JPGs.
The last one looks like he is clearly sending a message with his claw, telling me to (politely) get lost! LOL
I hope some of you like these. EXIF data is intact for those detail peekers.

Awesome shots, so sharp on download. What lens did you use on your Pentax? What model camera do you shoot with?

No Pentax, all Nikon. The EXIF data is available on the download.
Here is the immature bald eagle I was set up on when that Golden flew over. First of 7 shots I took as he flew off.

Pentax 645 is a medium format film camera body. I do still shoot film at times. These were taken with a Nikon D800 and a Sigma 800mm F5.6 lens.

No UV, No CPL, no filters at all. Bare lens and beautiful sky, great combination.

Thanks Erv. I've been stalking that family of Goldens for 2 months now and these are the first decent shots I have gotten of any of them, and by accident no less.

Good job Shooter. Maybe he wanted your camera in his claws. Probably wanted to take YOUR picture!
MT these pics are great, love the downloads, your photo's do this majestic bird justice, very nice.
Thanks Howie. Sure wish it would have brought the rest of the family and let me do a decent session with them!
Very, very nice :) They are magnificent birds, aren't they :)
