Same here abosolutely no idea, certainly wasn't told by a friend so must have stumbled upon it by accident. It was a great accident though :D

searched for phot forum to help me improve my shots etc - the first few were not what i was loking for - to stiff upper lipped....... this however seemed to be friendly and fun to be part off...

I was trying to find an answer to some question (I don't remember what it was now) pertaining to my camera and one of the results was......that's right.....a post on the Hog.

General chit-chat section is for non-photograhy topics, so I feel we're in the right locale. Would have to mirror Karl's answer. Other groups just seemed to be all high 'n' mighty muckety-mucks! Here on the Hog, y'all are down-home good ol' boys 'n' gals. ;-)

I was on photographycorner.com and stumbeled on a text ad " 10 tricks to improve your photography." when I clicked poof I was in hog heaven. When I joined there were maybe 200 people on the site.guess that makes an old hog fogey!

I personally think the stats are a bit of a misnomer. Maybe from inception, but think there only about 50-100 or so that are active. A Hotel California of sorts. Check-in anytime you want, but you can never really leave! Just outta curiosity, when & who started the Hog?
