A FORD DEALERS REPORT

This is exactly why Mitt Romney said that 40 something % of the people are too dependent on the government. They have learned to work the system.

A Ford Dealer's Report - From Tom Selkis' (Latham Ford) Facebook - True story yesterday at the dealership.

"I'll try to make this as short and to the point as I can.

One of my salesmen here had a woman in his office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus.

As he was reviewing her credit application with her he noticed she was on social security disability.

He said to her you don't look like you're disabled and unable to work.

She said well I'm really not. I could work if I wanted to, but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury).

She said the gov't sends her $1500.00 a month in 1 check. And she gets $700.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00 a month for rent. Oh yeah, and 250 minutes free on her phone. That is just south of $3500.00 a month. When she was working, she was taking home about $330.00 per week.

Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell should she go back to work.

If you multiply that by millions of people, you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country.

Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished.

The question is when do we cross that threshold if we haven't already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough taxes to support the non-working people? Riots?? Be prepared to protect your homes.

She didn't lease the Focus here because the dealer down the road beat our deal by $10.00/month.

Glad to know she is so frugal with her hard earned money."

Not much of a salesman. I would have talked her into an upgrade and leased her a Taurus.

At least. It's not her money. I'm thinking Lexus.

All of you RWNJ's will use anything to prove a point. One guy tells a story and suddenly it's the end of America as we know it. Have you done any independent fact checking to see if this is true? What I get such a kick out of is that you present it as something that just happened, but the original story was from August. If you're gonna copy and paste, at least be honest enough to tell us about your source.

I went to the Latham Ford Facebook page, and couldn't find a single word about this. It took me all of about 15 seconds. I know how hard research can be for some people, but this is ridiculous.

At least Snopes is smart enough to not take the story at face value, and is still researching it. Get a life, pal.

It's easy to blame Obama for things that were in place before he even took office. This is typical of a system gone haywire but do you think a multimillionaire candidate that thought he should only pay 14% on unearned income while those of us working for our money pay 30% would really have the middle class in his thoughts ? The republicans need to divorce themselves from the ultra rich teapartiers and come up with a candidate that will
push for real tax and entitlement reform

When I had a hernia operation I got a letter from Social security that said if I was disabled I would get $1600 a month and each of my children would get the same amount. That was more than I was making. I asked my self why I worked for a living ? I am not as smart as the "bums" and kept working.

Great story! Just too bad it isn't true. Some people believe ANYTHING.

Always second hand stories about un-named people.

Grow up...

I know personally of similar stories that are true. Some people (lots) know how to work the system. Get your head out of the sand or where ever it is and look around. The fraud and the waste of tax dollars is everywhere.

Before I was halfway through reading this post I was wondering who they thought could possibly believe this line of BS It looks like a headliner for the Star or National Inquirer.
I had a long rebuttal typed up but then thought why bother venting my anger at this blatant BS posting.

I'm sure there are some people that work the system. There are people that try to collect welfare under a lot of different SSN's and names and get away with it for a while. I get the feeling that not much happens when they get caught either.

The problem with welfare is that the government gives the majority of it to non citizens and when the programs run out of money there will be no money for the citizens that deserve it and have paid taxes all there lives.
