Managed to capture this under heavy cloud cast this A.M.

I'd really like a critique---go ahead be brutal. Keeper or trash can and why?

Thanks in advance for your opinion.

I love the concept of this shot.

If I get up close to my monitor, I see wavy lines at the edge of the black sillowettes. May be some sort of chromatic abberation.

Now for the opinion. I would like to see the clouds in focus with the bird as is. I think it would make a more dramatic photo. But I do not know if this can be done given DoF issues.

I like it as it is,the silhouette and the soft colors in the background which make the bird and branches stand out attractively.

Definitely a keeper shot. I can't find anything about it to critique other than to say very well done.

The out of focus clouds in the background immediately draw your eye to the bird. It's placement in the crop is right where it should be.

I like it. I was faced with similar conditions this morning and passed on shooting anything. This gives me something to try next time. Thanks for sharing this.

I often "set out to take silhouettes." And they're some of my favorite images. I love this photo! It's an unobstructed view of the bird with the nicely blurred background not competing with interesting two-tone color.

I really like it. I also intentionally take silhouette shots. This kind of photo is one of my biggest sellers so other people must like them also. Yours is very dramatic. Good job!
