PSE 6 Help Needed

Somehow the cursor (brush size, etc) in PSE 6 has turned into a small dot or + sign. It used to be more or less in a circle and in a size that indicated how much area it covered. Obviously I have hit some combination of keystrokes to change things. Can anybody help?

If 'caps lock' is on turn it off. That's if is set properly in
'edit>preferences>display & cursers'.

You should be able to control the size of the brush by using the left & right brackets. [ = smaller and ] = larger. At least that is the way it is in later versions.

if you click on the brush tool there should be an indication of the size on a bar along the top of the screen and if you right click you may get an indication of the variations . retouch and clone work in a similar way in terms of size variation.
