Well, I read this piece this morning and as someone familiar with the deceptive talents of teen girls I was not as surprised as you may be....

I always knew boys were easier. That is why God gave me boys, He knew I wasn't up to the challange.

A few things seemed to be missing from the article. Did anyone have actual proof of a drug being used in the milkshakes? Was an investigation by the police really done?

Or do we have whacked out parents on our hands?

Yes --- there was actual proof --- the parents had the presence of mind to go get a blood test the next day when they suspected that had occurred. It was in a news story that aired here in San Francisco.

I reckon it's more an indictment of the parents.

You reap what you sow.

Well, I think you may be correct. Just imagine their exalted little princess gets everything she wants for about the first 7 years of her life, then parenting takes a twist and lessons need to be learned and principles laid down. Now Princess is quite used to getting her way so over the next 7 or 8 years she hones her talents of deception and begins living a dual life one that she lives with her parents and one that she lives for herself. One day Princess' real life is exposed and the parents crack down...next thing you know Princess is drugging mummy and daddy.

Only if it is your child. To an outsider it can be that simple.

That's for sure,

Kids are great, especially those on the other hemisphere.

No surprised! If they put half as much energy into academics, community service, or other positives, well..they wouldn't be in trouble....anything goes these days....and we wonder why we are in the mess we are in....
