Doesn't surprise me as I use one along with my D3s and D600 and Panasonic LX7 and I'm sure the choice won't sway the perennial nay sayers but it shows a disturbance in the Force

Though Olympus beat out the D800, it was close. My first camera was an Olympus (still sentimental about it)- shortly there after moved to Nikon exclusively. But, your post should start some dialog on the Hog! Thanks.

Sbesaw, I don't doubt for a second that Olympus may be the best camera made but that said, I personally don't put a lot of stick in user polls.
I prefer the technical and more scientific testings done by professional testers. And I also understand that is is not a normal real-world test. But there has to be some way to measure the results. In a poll the Olympus sampling would have to be very, very small.

Well Put about Non scientific, non technical. Follow this link to their very technical-scientific, with lots of data, review where they award it their highest award , their Gold designation.

Don't know how the other poll worked but you would think that with all the Nikon (like Me) shooters and all the Canon Shooters and how few Olympus shooters there are that the sheer numbers would have pushed it toward Nikon and Canon. I don't know their metodology but it was the same for all.

You know what they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And opinions are like butts; everyone has one. I figure all that matters is if you are satisfied with what you have, regardless of what you're talking about. And just because the next person likes something other than you, that doesn't mean you're right and he's wrong. That's all of the wisdom you're getting from me today, I'm fresh out.
