As I left the house on Xmas morning on my way to the Lion,s club to cut up 30 turkeys that we had cooked the day before for the Xmas meal we do for shutins and just anybody else that want a place to go for friendship and a hot meal. When I spotted this sky I was awed.Never in my life have I seen this formation .

I've never seen such a formation either, of course being a horse lover, I see wild horses galloping across the sky. I'm anxious to see what others will see in it. It's a beautiful shot!!!

Hi

What I see is a surfers wave building pace and crashing over the top with light bounce of the water. Especially in the second image

Great shots

Best wishes

Karl

Wonderful pictures.
The following is from Spaceweather.com, December 30, 2012.
Gene Hart of Jonesport, Maine posted photos of similar cloud formations.
They are sometimes called "billow clouds" produced by the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability when horizontal layers of air brush by one another at different velocities.
