New Born Photography.
Hi I am expecting our First Grandchild next month and I am exploring all avenues of photography that I can do, to capture our new Grand Daughter in her perfection. I am looking at B x W mainly but would like any other suggestionns to get that perfect shot. Thanks from Ausrtalia (down under) Karenn.. HNY to all.
Congratulations! Being a Grammy is such a joy!! Remember to take pix of those tiny fingers, toes, etc etc...and just keep snapping :)...
Hi Karenn,
You are in for some photographic fun!! I am reading everything I can find on photographing newborns, since we have a new grandchild on the way also!
Here is a link with some good tips for starters:

Gee Thanks haven't seen this one yet. Just had a quick look then, can't wait to dig deeper. I just want some artistic shots as well as the normal things that you might expect. Again thanks. Karenn
Im impressed, this is just what i have been looking for. A great start anyway.
Congrats. I did my first new born shots a couple months ago. Here is one of my favs. you need a plain back ground and will have to edit out the parents hand. Hope this helps
Thanks for that, I am going to take pregnacy shots as well this week before the baby is born. What settings did you use for your photo. Ap. 5.6 normal lens. ?? ISO ?? Lovely photo in B x W. great.

It was taken indoors. I used my kit lens (18-55mm 3.5-5.6).
set at 22mm F4.5 1/160 ISO 320. I had to use the flash but did not want too. Hope this helps. Take lots of photos as you can not predict a baby. I got a great 1 of him yawning.
Thanks so much I will post some of my results for your opinion.
