hello i am new to photography i have a point and shoot nikon righht now but i am wanting to buy a dslr open to suggestions on which one to get and what lens would be good i like to take wildlife pictures

Boy are you going to get bombarded with buy this, buy that etc. By wild life, do you mean close (things that won't eat you) or far (things that will eat you)? for close try to get a something to 200mm zoom. For far away, you will probably need something close to at least a 400mm. Maybe a 200 with a tele-extender if you are on a budget. If you are going to shoot REAL CLOSE, you might want a Macro lens for like bugs and stuff. Whatever camera you choose, plan ahead for lenses. They way prices are going they will eat your lunch. Just remember, a camera is a tool. Good luck.

thank you for the info i take close up and far away pictures i keep a portfolio of my pics i do this for me it has been a hobby of mine since i was little
