This is the 3'x4' quilt I made for my son and his wife for Christmas. I used photos I shot at Xcaret in Mexico of the Mayan re-enactors and some wildlife. We were all together there at Christmas time a couple of years ago. I manipulated the images in Smart Photo Editor and then added embroidery to them. It now brightens up their basement wall.

Thanks Erv. It was fun doing it.
Hi DebAnn... Happy New Year!!
I love your art work and feel it should hang in the living room rather than the basement. Is this fabric and if it is, how did you transfer your images onto it?
Yes, it's all made with cotton fabric and thread. For the photos, I first digitally "painted" them so they would look as though they blended well on the fabric. Then I printed them with my pigment-based inkjet printer onto commercial "prepared for printing" cotton sheets. I like the sheets made by Jacquard.
For the strip pieces with writing, I treated batik cotton with Bubblejet, temporarily ironed the cotton to freezer paper and trimmed the edges cleanly before running the sheets through the printer.
