A little tip for you when photographing someone like the boy in a scene shot. Don't have him stand so far away, bring him close to the camera, about 5 feet away and off the one side that way you have a good close up shot of hiom and you have the distant view of the areas scene you wanted to get. That way you have the best of both worlds.
