I'm sure once "Pounder35" hits the beach and finds out, he'll be saying "Don't do it Man".

They are Kwel...however...I didn't see any part of the video that was in an area that could not have been negotiated by a normal 4 X 4 Pickup truck, or even an AWD Car. I'd have to see them in action in more hostile terrain before I would be totally sold on em due to the high cost.

We have lots of vehicles mounted on tracks in this part of the country in the wintertime. Difference being, they all have their tires and wheels removed in order to mount the tracks to them. This system that allows quick changeouts is quite newsworthy so long as they are durable. There are cheap bolt-on systems from China, but they often do not last a month before throwing a track or burning up bearings and needing replacement. Typical Chinese crap.

If we only knew the story behind the story??????????????????

I feel the same as you colo43.

If we really knew the real story behind the BS the politicians and media feed us 24/7.
We do get an excellent repurposed rhetoric 24/7 though.
Washington is excellent at pacifying the people 24/7 with all the BS they would like us to believe.
Politicians just lie about everything to the populace knowing that no accountability will even touch them.

Not the country I was brought up in.

I'm ashamed of what I thought was a justice system that was fair for all the people all the time. We have a facsimile that is tattered,...hopefully not beyond repair,...there's always hope.

I love this country but it's hard not to vent.

Have a Happy New Year

They do look as if it would be a great idea!....just some questions,,,,,if perchance you would go into a slide and have to hit the brakes would they roll over? What would happen if you got high centered in deep snow?

WOW !!!!!

Do I smell money or what.... What a great ingenious invention...............

And it's so easy to put them on. Just position them exactly right - in the snow. Then drive your 4,000 lb 4WD onto the front ones. Make a U-turn and then back up exactly right onto the rears. If I were ever able to do that, I would never take them off. I'd buy a second truck for the warm weather.

I saw a set of them demo-ed in uptate NY years ago. Very impressive, but putting them on has got to be tough.

EDIT: This looks even better - a bolt-on, and not too expensive.

Jerry, this price is only for the rubber tracks and not the whole drive assembly. It's like buying a set of tires, and their minimum order size is a bit steep.

The Vans at Mount Washiongton use these gizmos to negotiate the mountain. Acess has to be available to the top of the mountain ( Tallest on the east coast) year round to haul up scientists and haul down frozen scientists.
Not much will stop one, short of a whiteout.
