Nice images littlebiddle, I think that's a greater yellowlegs you got, bill looks too long for lesser, I noticed he has a great fun house mirror refelction in the water. 8-)

OOooOoooOO!!! You got an osprey AND a roseate spoonbill on your visit! Lucky sod!

Great shots.
I saw many species of bird for the very first time in my whole life on my trip in March... including pelican, ibis, AND osprey but I didn't score a photo of the latter.

The visit was a great experience and my photos from that time are nice reminders.

P.S.
I never even heard of WHITE pelicans... didn't see any either. Wowza!

My book has drawings and not photos, so it is hard to tell a lot from the pictures!

I lived in Florida for about 12 years and never saw them. But I wasn't out with a camrera then either! My wife and I saw them for the first time on our trip this year.
