How much time do you spend 'taking' photos?

One hour a day? An hour a week? Less than that? More than that?

Of course if this is your source or even a source of income it may be higher.

Interesting to know how much time is spent on the 'taking' part of this activity.

Myself? Maybe an hour a week, in spurts.

You?

My work schedule (72-74 hours week) and home schedule make it difficult to get time to go shoot, Generally I shoot on solitary vacation 2 weeks a year or long weekends when I can get away.
Not liek the old days in the military when I had 4 weeks leave and could shoot on weekends if I didnt have the duty,

Per week? Maybe two hours, if that. My learning curve on this hobby has been a long, long arc.

I was afraid someone would ask that. I would say, conservatively, two hours a week, and that includes getting ready and traveling in my immediate area (if I travel). That's not nearly as much as I would like. Of course, everyone has the same twenty-fours hours in each day, and we do have some control over what we do with those hours. I have no good excuse for not spending more time clicking away.

If you asked how many hours a week I spend on UHH, that would be well into the double digits. I consider that time well-spent - education time.

As for actually taking a picture, I'd say about 1/250th of a second on average for each. :D

Wondered when someone would come with the 1/250th type response - good one.

Over 1000 views on this thread and only 14 comments. A lot of people looking and not many willing to say.

I was out walking today for about an hour, with camera. Stopped for less than 10 minutes to take pictures. The objective was the walk not the pictures, but that happens way too often.

Will have to overcome this somehow. I need to spend more 1/250ths, MANY more, to get OK with what I have spent a lot of cash on.

What am I going to do with this data - report back to Pepsi of course.
