New camera and new to any type of camera savvy! Always had just a point and shoot but wanted better zoom and all that goes with it.....so lots of learning needed. From this end!

I got a Nikon 3200. I debated over that one and the Canon, but went with Nikon only because I am more familiar with the name and its quality.

Seems like a decent entry level camera to me, now go have some fun with it. ;) Oh and post some pictures of snowy Wisconsin. :)

Ditto on all the welcomes. What part of Wisconsin? We used to have a cabin a few miles out of Portage, Baraboo and the Dells. (That's not three cabins; it's triangulation.) We sold it several years ago . . . still miss it. Beautiful country -- and beautiful people -- up there.

Welcome, one from the Great White North! (I was born & lived in Marshfield till I was 8...The older I get though ,the further South I find myself) BTW, can you keep the snow up there please ?

Am from way Northern part. Small town called Crandon. We are the county seat and the population is around 2800. It's of national forest and two reservations - one on each side of us. Lots of animals - even a few moose now and then, although rare!

I love the snow! It just hangs on the trees so beautifully! Am getting to the age where it could become a problem for us tho!

Your locale makes my old cabin sound downright urban! It must be beautiful there . . . year-round.
