I bolted over there to see the nuts who were building them, even the washers had some interesting input. I think you nailed it on the head when you said "riveting".

Reminds me of the shipyard joke I heard in Cammel Llairds many years ago:
Irishman taken on to work with the riveters after telling he had experience.
Riveter working on top of ship shouts down "five eigths Paddy" wanting a rivet tossing up to his pan.
Irishman replies " that'd be 40 boss "
