A small story as to why I chose the title.
I had driven by this location many times in my considerable life time and watched nature take its toll on this site.
So I decided to try and get a photo and in the process of getting there I stepped into a post hole on the side of the road up to my knee, then in getting down a 10ft bank my feet slide out from under me and down the bank I went.
Stumbling through vines and briers I arrived at my chosen location, set up and shot several photos then I rested on a fallen tree and enjoyed the scenery hence my title.

Serenity after a fall... Glad you still enjoyed it. ;) I like your attitude and your picture.
I suppose you could have called it "Fallen, damn, at Fallen dam".

Yes NikonJohn it would have been a good alternate title and gave me a good laugh also.
I don't like to give up on a task once started and I always wonder what I could have done to make it better after.

Hope you didn't hurt yourself. Nice shot.
Hope the trip back up was better than the trip down...damn

Yes it was the tripod worked as a climbing stick and I hobbled around the hole. Added a little additional knee pain for a couple
of weeks but worked it out walking.
Thanks, DePratt

I like serenity in nature.
The metadata indicates this was shot at an fstop of 32. ISO 1600 at 1/20 second. If this is true why not us a lower fstop, lower ISO to have less diffraction effects and less noise. Did you try multiple settings? When you increase the size of the photograph on the screen it quickly loses quality.
Just wondering.
Glad to hear you are OK. Like you pic and the title, it is a very serene scene and a nice place just to sit and reflect.
