I've been lucky enough to travel to the Bahamas twice in the last 2 and a half years. We absolutely love it there and can't wait to go back.. It's nice to be able to look at my pictures and dream about being back there when it's a whopping 28 degrees here in WV :) The ones from 2010 were taken with a Kodak 12MP P&S and the ones from August were taken with my Canon T3i. Enjoy the scenery!

Well, a whole host of reasons actually.. LOL The first time we went was on an 8 day/7 night cruise that my husband had booked in December 2009 for the following May as a Christmas present. He booked it through AAA so that we could make payments on it over several months. The 2nd time in August was through a company that gave us a "special offer" that we could use anytime in the next 18 months after signing up, as long as we booked at least 60 days in advance. We were so stressed out with our store/restaurant and everything else we'd been dealing with since Jan 2011 that we just wanted to get away ASAP, so August it was.. Next time though we do plan on going between November and March when the weather is milder and the prices are better, we just have to do it before the baby gets in school :)

The first is my favorite, stunning! I was fortunate enough to visit Bermuda around 1980, but we were a day late in arriving because of a hurricane. I mainly remember it living up to every postcard I'd seen, and your photos capture the beauty as well.

Thank you Linda! We've talked about taking a cruise to Bermuda sometime. We sailed out if Baltimore the first time and shortly after our trip Carnival added Bermuda as one of their destinations for the ship we were on. This last time when we went my mom was flipping out before we left because it was hurricane season. I didn't figure we had anything to worry about because they track those things forever it seems like, but sure enough, after our first 2 days in FL they started tracking one and it actually followed us out of the Bahamas and into FL for our last 2 nights. It was hitting really hard the day we left, hard to drive through, even though it was just a Cat1. Wildest thing I've ever seen...

Wow - some experience for you! And would you believe I read your photo post as Bermuda, not Bahamas. Obviously I hadn't had my coffee yet!
