They are very hungry and there is nothing for them other than pine needles.
so if my horse leaves a bit of her food they search for it.

Thank you. The more snow we have, the harder it is for them to find food. They are now eating pine needles from the low hanging branches to survive.

Ken, i think your under the wrong impression. We are not allowed to feed them. It means a citation from the DOW.
i provide water for them, that's the best i can do until said time the dept of wildlife changes their rules.
Sad but true.

I don't hunt, I'd rather shoot with a camera. That said, I have nothing against people who do (as long as they follow the rules). In the last couple of years, some deer have been wandering into my neighborhood from a nearby park. For us it's a real novelty to see them. Best to you, Ken
