Imo! This is good photography with special effect. But this type of twist can't be put in the family holiday snaps or the Christmas shot of the week, as it would not be noticed as art. You know it's abstract photography and this image has it's place. The normal point & shoot or happy clickers will just not get it! For me, good effort with minimal post work. I like it!

agree with Wild Marty, Cathy. your original is a snapshot to remember the day. the postprocessed image is nice work.

One suggestion. Have the girls switch sides, so their hair is swept away from each other. Re-shoot much closer to subjects, capturing only the right eye of mother, and only the left eye of daughter, side-by-side.

Cathy, if you and your daughter like it, it's good. I like it too.

I think you got the effect you wanted. The eyes do look identical. I can see why your daughter likes it. :-)

I do like abstract and sometimes high key images, however I think it is just between a tad and a smigen overdone would like woman on the left face to have a little more definition. Dolike what you are trying to do.

I think its great, however for me...just a bit less brightness and I think you got a winner. That said...this is a unique idea, I like the effect.
