Here's a shot from last spring in the NW, looking towards the Olympic Mountains. I was all set up on the tripod and didn't think much was happening when all of a sudden that flash of color burst through. It only lasted a minute or so.... I was happy to be set up! I do believe in luck, and the harder I work the more of it I seem to have....:)
