When my 2 kids were on leave we rented a cabin in my favorite State Park called Wisconsin. This was June 20, 2006. Camera was the Olympus 3000z / 3.3 mp
This was our only camera and we used it for snap-shots. As I was walking back to our cabin I spotted my boy doing some fishing. Snapped this. I wanted to go on the boat to take the picture but didn't want to trespass. This Christmas I bought my wife the Nikon 3100 with one kit lens and one additional lens 55 to 300. After the holidays Inger and I will goof with this new camera, shoot allot of nothing pictures hopefully a good one will show up once in awhile.

Wonderful shot for a 3.3Mpx camera. This is yet again another piece of evidence that it is NOT all camera, but camera and photographer, that creates the picture. You did good.

Thanks Cajon,
I had been on the general chit-chat pages commenting and reading on the gun issues and I had a thought "Hey Dummy...you are on a photography forum...stick with what this forum is about." So I took awhile to find this picture as it is buried deep in the hard drive. I may look at chit-chat once in awhile but I am here to view other photos and to share mine once in awhile (If I have anything worth sharing)
Merry Christmas
That's a really nice picture not sure why but it conjures up serenity it looks so relaxed ,love it thank you for sharing.

Sometimes you have to shoot what you can work with and not worry too much about composition and you still end up with a stunning photo and a beautiful memory of a wonderful time.
