Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
I can't believe that the year is almost over. Holidays, are most often associated with food. The preparation brings families together and the joy of sitting down to the meal as a family while you gaze across the table at loved ones we feel joy for the one we are with and sadness for the loved ones not with us. We reminisce and tell our favorite Christmas or Holiday story, we laugh and cry and we eat! Many of us have traditional foods we love and cant wait for that first bite.
Our challenge today is FOOD. Whether it is the preparation of your favorite dish, that first bite delight or the entire meal Post your food favorites.
May your dining be filled with love, joy and your favorite holiday comfort food.

What an amazing experience - Christmas in Spain - where traditions are so very different.... No turkey here - but a huge plate of the most delicious Marisco (seafood). The second course was melt in the mouth lamb! Then the pudding, sweets and coffee with whisky etc. Goodness we did feed well, which although wonderful, is also very sad when you know how many folks go hungry - not just at Christmas but all the time......
Timings are quite different as well - we ate at 11.00 pm last night and presents were opened at 1.00 am! Head did not hit the pillow until gone 2.00 am! Luckily today did not start early - baby jack awoke at 10.00 am which got us going again! Today I hear there will be 15 for a meal sometime this afternoon - maybe around 3.00 pm. It is all very exciting enjoying another culture's festivities.
Hope you are all having a wonderful time with your families and friends as well.

Food later, I hope, but it won't be beautiful
laid back up here today. Santa still sleeping. Here's my wishes for you all and I hope to return later. I've never met such a wonderful, fun and even serious gang like you all who happen to also be terrific photographers. Have a happy. (Santa Santa, did you bring me an iPad I hope I hope.)
