A week ago I bought a new laptop with windows 8 installed. I have heard all kinds of negatives about it BUT I find it fairly easy to learn. Yes, it is different.
The learning curve has not been nearly as steep as I thought it might be.

wish i could say the same i,m a windows user but took the plunge and brought a mac book pro blimey ive already brought 2 dummies guides to using it so so different to a pc .

Good to hear that. Were you using Win 7 prior to this? I'm wondering if I should wait until Win 9 arrives as I have Win7 pro.

I can't seem to preview pictures on a memory stick without downloading, just thumbnails on my Mac. I think it is a difficult transition.
