Okay, I've been watching for a week now. So, I'm just going to throw it out there. At this point in time, I have a simple camera and no photo software. Would love to receive your kind critiques. These horses are sisters that were rescued from a PMU farm in Canada. They love living in the Adirondacks.

Your first picture is right on, very nice job. The other two are a little soft on the focus, but still very nice. Welcome to the Ugly Hog.

I agree with Mike. The first picture is outstanding. It is difficult sometimes to get a shot in the bright sunlight. Sometimes a flash will help that. I am not a professional by any means and some times I can't even spell correctly but I do know a good shot when I see it.
I am a Shriner and rode horses for 17 years in parades even going up into Canada to compete in competitions and the best ride ever was down town in the Chicago Loop in Illinois.
I will try to drop one of my horses in this message. My camera at the time was a simple non ditgital type.

My grandfather was a Shriner in Wichita, KS. No parade is complete without the Shriners. :)

Sydney is a spectacular looking horse. The pic of Rain does nothing for me cause (she?) is moving away from the camera...head on is almost always better.

The first is super! Remarkable focus and lighting. Very nice composition and color. The other two would be very good if better focused. That first shot shows you do have a talent for photography. Welcome to Hedgehog!

Sydney is a beautiful girl. You caught the perfect expression in #1. Don't think you could've done any better with a $2000 rig. keep shooting and send more

My critique would be to have gotten closer on the last two as you did on the first one but then you probably couldn't or you would have. Pretty horses.

The pictures are gorgeous, especially the first one. I also like the third one.

And, the horses are just beautiful! How wonderful that they were rescued!!

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I'm very happy that you all like Sydney's photo. That is one of my favorites. She is the perfect model. The other two were last minute toss-ins. I wanted to submit more than one. I'll follow up with more. Thank you, again!
