By "extreme" I am talking about the rainforest conditions.Tongass Nat`l Forest is very unfriendly to visitors while these, often tiny and fragile, mushrooms prosper. All photos taken on location without disturbing anything.

Wow Ivan...you impress me more every time you post. You've captured fungus as a thing of beauty that could put beatiful flowers to shame

Real nice work welcome to the ugly hedgehog ,,,maybe you could do a post and show us how you went about setting up the shots but do it in the safety of ya home use a piece of produce maybe a apple as a subject

Thank you for the welcome. Each set up was different depending on the mushroom kind and location.Person does not realize this but most of the mushrooms are "defective" with holes, cracks etc or you cannot get to them (which is usually a big problem in a rainforest). After I kind of developed my style I came to conclusion I was getting the best results taking mushroom photos at night while it was raining. The mushroom size photographing best was about the size of a quarter.I will try to locate a photo of one of my set ups but do not hold your breath.

Thank you, Alaskan. This confirms the opinion of a lot of others who have posted here; that you don't necessarily need a lot of expensive tools to get great photographs.

The same applies to me. Unfortunately life is too short for posting tens of thousands of my images. Thanks for looking.

Fantastic images of fungi, and your technique for lighting shows a very professional approach. I also love to shoot mushrooms, but have never done any to this level of beauty as I use only natural light. I do get my knees, elbows and chin muddy though.
