Came across a picture from the blizzard we had in 2011, just thought I'd share.
The snow drifted so high it was almost to the top of the roof
I sometimes forget to mention that my house is built into the side of a hill. The story works better with this little detail ommited .

The first picture makes it look like you are in the storm of the century, then you gave the game away, nice capture of a house in the Arctic.

We really did see a lot of snow with this storm. Since we are built into the ground facing south, the north wind blew all the snow over our house and dumped it in front of our house. We had trouble getting out the doors, and I had to shovel it off the cars. I do like telling folks the snow was up to our roof though.

Sometimes I think I never want to see snow again, but when we get it, I realize how much I'd miss it.
