Ahh, those are nice. You are having a lot of fun. You might try shooting just a little earlier when there is a bit of light still in the sky. That will tame the contrast and add some color of it's own when you hit the weather right.

These are of St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney. The lights are projected onto the Cathedral and the light changes every minute or so

I took 17 of them and am Posting 4 of them

I think that may be a good idea Ernie, so I'll keep that in mind the next time I take some night shots. That's one thing about photography, you learn something new every time you shoot

First night shots..........hhhhmmmmmmm And you want opinions too. Weeeeellllllll..........These are so beautiful!!!! And the changing of the lights on the cathedral - that is so amazing how they did/do that!!! First night shots - hope you remembered the settings you used because you did perfect with these. Happy holidays!!!

If these are your first night shots, you have a big problem. And that problem is, you have set the bar so incredibly high it is going to be extremely difficult to show improvement. The first three shots in my opinion are professional level photographs. The ones of the light show on the cathedral are very good shots and a terrific light show, but from my perspective doesn't have the impact of the first three

The information from one of the bridge shots, says

Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE
Tv (Shutter Speed) 15
AV (Aperture Value) 8

Focal Length 27.0 mm
White Balance Auto
