Hello Everyone - Been here for a few days checking out site. Great stuff.
I am beginner in photography, mostly photographing the flying type of nature - eagles, osprey, hawks, backyard and anything I can capture in the skies.... I own a Canon T3i mostly using a 100-400 lens. Own a few other lens.
I'm leaving for a Safari on February 1, 2013 to South Africa, a 60th birthday present to myself. One of the reasons I got into photography- now I'm hooked.
Happy Holidays to all and a very Happy New Year for 2013.

Welcome Sidigirl...hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do...there are some great people on here! Wow...where are you capturing Eagles in that area? That's about 45 minutes or so from Philadelphia isn't it? Nice photo...I'm thinking you're far from being a beginner :thumbup:

Thanks Carolina Wings - The eagles are about an hour from me at Conowingo Dam. It's a pretty amazing place - November is a big migration month for them at the dam.
I'm about 35 minutes west of Philadelphia right near Valley Forge, PA.

I knew you were close to Philly...wasn't thinking about you being close to Conowingo Dam. In years past I've done some shopping at Valley Forge. My Aunt lived in Newtown Square west of Philadelphia....I use to stay with her when I went to the Devon Horse Show. Looking forward to seeing your photos in the coming year :-D

Hello sidigirl, nice to see another pa photographer on the site, we have lots of eagles here in Lancaster, in holtwood by the river. A friend on mine in radnor just got back from a safari and had some great photos , so welcome and enjoy your trip.
