Welcome to Day 357 of the Daily Challenge. Today's challenge is 'A Picture Tells a Thousand Words.' Show us your photos that tell a special story, or spoke to you through raw emotion. I can't wait to see your creative responses!
It is incredibly cold today in Georgia, USA, with a bitter wind that can take your breath away and also threatens to blow cars right off the interstate. I wasn't able to shoot many fresh new photos today. I also won't be available to comment until very late. I wish you all a great Saturday, and for those of you who still have shopping to do, stay safe and warm!
Taken today - My husband and son in our classic '74 Mercedes . They thought they were so cool! (They were!) This is a photo of the original picture.
My Mom in late September, 2012. She is 84 years old today and we are planning to surprise her with a party!
Love to wonder what they are thinking or talking about!
Taken today - One of the benefits and curses of pastoring a church are all the goodies your sweet members bring you during the holidays!! Mmmmm!
Cheerleading did not come naturally to 5 yr. old Ansley. (the little blond to the left.)
A precious friend at our church senior dinner expressing his gratitude for the prayers of our church family during his recent bout with cancer. He is in remission!

Here are a few
my mother after a long morning caring for my stepdad
nestled in the woods
it's cold out here let me in!
I wrote this last night.. I don't know where it came from, it just came out:
Letting go
the the light unknown
it beckons me
Into the night
there is no fright
The starlit night comforts me
Letting go
there is no pain
a journey of delight
I ride the rain
I touch the clouds
I hear the angels voices sing
Letting go
my life's here no more
but I'm always by your side
Hold my hand
I'm letting go
my memory's all that remains

I saw this on Facebook last night a few minutes after you posted it and it blew me away. Very inspiring words, and you can feel the love that you have for your stepdad. It's as if he were speaking through you! Thank you so much for sharing.

A photo that tells a story - hmmmm - I will see what I can come up with tomorrow. Thanks for hosting and enjoy the birthday party for and with your Mom. Great photos MG.
