This photo was taken from the New York City Highline. I am curious to know which image you prefer, or neither. The stats are: ISO 400, 125mm, f/11, 1/125 sec. Comments & Critique welcomed.

Here is a bit of info from Wikepedia regarding the Highline:
The High Line is a 1-mile New York City linear park built on a 1.45-mile section of the former elevated New York Central Railroad spur which runs along the lower west side of Manhattan; it has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway. The High Line Park currently runs from Gansevoort Street, three blocks below West 14th Street, in the Meatpacking District, up to 30th Street, through the neighborhood of Chelsea to the West Side Yard, near the Javits Convention Center.

Well I don't see to much difference. The colors seem better to me in the original. About all I see different are the cracks in the wall seem to show more in the HDR.

The HDR definitely brings out a lot more of the detail and color without being overdone like so many we see.

I like the original, the colors seem more "vivid". the hdr does show more detail or textures.

Hey Bmac, what and interesting place to take pictures. This picture really makes you look hard at it. I think it takes just a second for the mind to sort all the colors. As for the HDR, you know me, I'd like it better if it looked a lot more grungy...! And just for clarity, is this a single shot with the effect applied or multiple shots?

It's a great place to shoot photos, especially if you like cityscapes. As you are actually walking on an old elevated railway you have a very unique view. I have messed with it to make it look more grungy, it is a fun image to play with. It is just a single shot with the effect applied.

Here is the graffiti taken from the same spot but at a 32mm focal length, posted for perspective. 8-)
