Hi,

Looking to purchase a superzoom, seen the canon 30is, the panasonic fz100 and am waiting to see the fz150. would consider others. I'm most concerned about getting good family and sports shots as well as video.

Camera shake is a concern and also burst.

Thanks for any suggestions or guidance. Bob.

Hi Bob! I can only speak to my experience with the Canon SX 30 IS which is that I love it and have had it about a year. However, I don't shoot the same topics as you and from what I've seen, heard and read the SX 30 does not do well on action shots. None of the P&S do, not even higher end or "bridge" cameras, like the ones you mentioned. I've looked on line at the Pana FZ100 and would buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't have the SX 30. Faster shutter & continuous shooting mode, 1080p HD movie mode (SX 30 is 720p HD)---to name a couple differences. I'm assuming you do not want a full dSLR?? Hope this helps a bit.

The FZ100 is a great camera no camera shake at 600mm. Check out the c-net vidio reviews for both cameras.
