These snowy egrets frequent the local golf course ponds. Yesterday morning, they formed up on the bridge near the 18th fairway. They seem to be a rather skittish bird and I have trouble getting very close. Had to use a 300mm here.
I love shots like this.
Neat shot Tim!

Good shot, very good comp. that realy makes the photo special.
Thanks guys! This bridge goes over a shallow pond, and I had noticed these birds over the course of several mornings standing in it. I went up there with the intention of taking some pics of them standing in the pond with their reflections, which I thought would be a good photo. However, this particular morning, they were oddly lined up on the railings. I snuck up around some trees to get this shot, which fortunately was from an elevated location. Sometimes you get a little lucky!

Love it, love it, love it! Great shot and I guess took some time to get. Love the way they have got their backs to each other. what guard of honour looks the other way. Hilarious!
Maybe there's a pair of them getting married, and no one likes either the bride or groom? Great shot.
Must be two different families, sitting back to back, some kind of argument going on.
Good shot though, right place right time.

Wonderful shot. Love the way each side is facing out. BTW, I think they are great egrets. Snowys have black bills and yellow feet.
Marinole - THANK YOU! Yes, I agree now that I have Googled Great Egrets and looked at the pictures. I had previously looked up snowy egrets and while they looked similar, I did notice that mine had black feet instead of the snowy's yellow feet in the photos I saw. I just didn't know enough about them to google Great Egret. So, thank you for clearing that up for me!!!

Glad I could help, Timmaron.
The birds are they foot solders or do they represent the flying guard or maybe even a part of the navy Just Saying!!
