I like to take pictures of things that are a little obscure. All these pictures have forms of life in them. Mother nature has hidden them to some degree, and I would like to make them come alive. So I am asking for your help. They were all taken w/ my Canon SX10is and have been resized via the camera. No editing so they are the way the they are....the only editing soft ware I have is what Canon furnished with the camera Zoombrowser. So ideas??

The photos are great . If you want a program for adjusting them I would say use Lightroom 3.0 It is the best and quickest program you can use . If you want to get into other aspects you may want photoshop.I have been a full time photographer for the past 20 years and have tried everything out there.

Hi CJ and thanks for the great pics! Your perspective is refreshing. I have the SX 30 and have it set to Vivid, which would give you greater color saturation. Also perhaps check your histogram in Playback for overexposure and reshoot with a higher f stop to let in less light and avoid the washed out appearance. I hope I said that right! :-D

Thank you Cat - also the quote from Wooden is so true. (Worry more about your character than your reputation. Character is what you are, reputation merely what others think you are." John Wooden)

billfresh - thank you for the suggestion - I am trying to save some $$$$ to get another editing program. The one that came with my camera is kind of a limited in some aspects.

Thank you for your reply - Ah ha moment just happened - Vivid an area that I haven't paid attention to - not a setting that I had thought about. I did see it mentioned in my manual. Having a hard time getting f stop shutter speed straight, but having fun.

COJuniper--I have to admit some of them take a bit of imagination, something of which I have a pretty good supply. If I can figure out how to highlight them I'll let you know. This kind of pic reminds me of Bev Dolittle paintings with all the hidden things in them.
